Northside Garden Party

Join Women for Political Change (WFPC) and the Cleveland Neighborhood Association for a fun evening of community building at the Cleveland Neighborhood Garden! Enjoy a light meal from local restaurants, hang out with neighbors, and learn more about the organizing work that WFPC and local Northside organizations are leading.

The Cleveland neighborhood gardeners will be out working that night as well, so feel free to come and support their work, or just mix and mingle and learn about all our community has to offer to young people getting started in community work and organizing.

This event is free, open to the public, and kid friendly!

Student Leadership Summit

The WFPC Student Leadership Summit is a half-day annual convening for incoming and outgoing WFPC student chapter executive board members to connect with other student & nonprofit leaders, as well as share their chapter work with the greater organization.

For graduating leaders, the Summit is a chance to build valuable networks and learn how to get involved in Women for Political Change beyond college. For incoming leaders, the Summit will provide the opportunity to learn more about WFPC’s student chapter program and develop the baseline skills necessary to govern their campus’ student group.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Sign up to attend here.

WFPC Discussion Circle: Pleasure Activism

How do we make social justice the most pleasurable human experience? Join us for a community conversation on pleasure activism—a politics of healing and happiness rooted in black feminist tradition—and how we can find pleasure beyond oppression within the social justice movement.

Our discussion will be guided by Adrienne Maree Brown's latest work, Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good. Learn more about the text here.

If access to the book is a barrier for you participating in the discussion, let us know and we'll provide you with a copy.
